Toohey Reid is a leading firm of Chartered Accountants offering a complete range of services including accounting and advice and strategies in respect to taxation, superannuation, business and succession planning.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Various accounting work ranging from preparation of financial accounts to assisting with tax planning ensuring all tax legislations are adhered to.

- Minimum 5 years experience.

We are a fast growing boutique advisory servicing high value private business, the medical profession and SMSF’s. We require a talented Business Services Manager to mentor and guide a team of 6/7 accountants.
Superior tax and Superannuation knowledge is a prerequisite to establish your leadership in this high performance team who provides strategic accounts, tax, business and financial advice.
Your role would be to partner with each accountant to ensure they:
- Manage workflow
- Achieve targets
- Review and guide them on assignments

- Solid taxation knowledge, specifically in the SME & privately held business sector
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Able to provide commercial, solution-orientated advice to clients
- Ability to critically examine the client situation, to identify opportunities for improving the clients overall taxation exposure
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Ability to train and mentor advisors in the firm
- Be well organised and strong in the documentation and preparation of quality working papers
- Ability to deal with the ATO in respect of ruling requests & audits
- Ability to negotiate on a client’s behalf with the relevant regulatory authorities
- Ability to work with the client and the firm’s business advisory accountants to ensure thorough implementation of advice provided
- Ability to provide the client where applicable with cost estimates for various work
- Ability to produce a working budget for the delivery of the specific advice
- Ability to manage jobs within a predefined budget;
and - Ability to liaise with external legal and other advisors.

Flexible and incentivised remuneration
As well as providing market competitive salaries and conditions we offer the following:
- Bonuses for exceeding your agreed annual budget In 2015 75% of our advisors received bonuses of up to 25% of their market level salary. In previous years we have had team members receive bonuses of up to 100% of their salary.
- 1 week additional annual leave for achieving your annual budget and up to an additional week for exceeding your annual budget.
- First Home Buyers Interest Free Deposit Assistance when you meet your budget. This deposit can be forgiven in full after 5 years. This has enabled our team members to enter the property market much earlier than they otherwise could have and create significant capital in the process.
